What Love Is This

I spent Sunday morning and on into a bit of the afternoon, listening to songs sung by Kari Jobe.  Her songs bless me so much. They bring love and adoration to the Lord.  Such a sweet presence of the Lord begins to hover.  One of Kari Jobe's songs that really blesses me is "What Love Is This".

"What Love Is This", features powerful imagery of the Centurion Soldier's reaction to discovering that Jesus was the Son of God after He'd been crucified.

"I often think about what it would've been like to experience that and to say, 'Truly, you are the son of God,'" Kari shares. "You realize you were part of His death, you were the one of the people who nailed Him to a cross. He must have felt so incredibly broken -- to believe the lie and then experience the truth. I really think that's like all of us.  We've got to have the perspective that without the Lord's presence, we're all in darkness, and  ‘What Love Is This’ is my love song to the Lord for His love song for my life.”

If you are reading this from email, come to the site and be blessed by Kari Jobe's song, "What Love Is This."

  1. Beautiful, thanks for sharing. It seems that this message keeps coming to me recently and I think needs to be taught more. The suffering Jesus endured for us all and the forgiveness he gives freely is not just for our personal salvation but for our example. No one has ever hurt us more that Jesus was hurt by people, yet He forgave.

  2. I agree. I think this message needs to be taught more. The people in the world and even Christians just want to be loved...loved unconditionally. The phrase The Lord has been bringing to my mind a lot lately is ..."as I have loved you" found in the Scripture, John 13:34-35. His final words to His disciples was a commandment that they love one another as He has loved them. He would not command us to do something that was impossible. The main problem for people though is that they cannot give what they don't have. We need to pray for a great revelation of Gods love. He loves us without condition! And the only way we can love others as He loves us, it has to be the same...without condition, which will definitely take much forgiveness on our part because we are going to be hurt, disappointed, betrayed by many, which is why we must learn to "LIVE TO FORGIVE".
